Course Details

Designed to make certification simple and stress-free.

Steps to Get Certified

We guide you through every step, giving you the tools and confidence to succeed.

This takes  around 7 hours to complete. You will receive an email with instructions to log on and get started.

Complete online portion before first day of class

Bring a swimsuit, towel, dry clothes, a snack, sunscreen, and plan for a 45-minute lunch break. CPR masks will be provided.

Make sure to come prepared to class

Students must be at least 15 years old and pass a first-day swim test: 300-yard swim, 2-minute legs-only tread, and 10-lb brick retrieval.

Complete Prerequisites on first day of class

We provide the resources and guidance students need to feel prepared and confident for the written exam. The final skills exam includes water rescues and CPR. Upon completion, students earn their American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification.
